    Day 28 {Oh My Goth!}

    Kids these days. We’re hoping it’s just a phase. Seriously, you should have seen some of the looks we got while shooting this. Apparently toddlers in black lipstick isn’t a hit in these parts. We were at Oakland Cemetery, which is a beautiful garden graveyard in Atlanta and the final resting place for Margaret Mitchell. Btw, if you didn’t catch the Gargamel photo from this weekend, you gotta check it out. It was posted on Saturday.

    Day 11 2012 {Elliott and E.T.}

    E.T. is celebrating it’s 30th anniversary this week. Tell me that’s not scary. I can’t believe it’s been that long! Anyway, we saw this costume in a Halloween parade last year. Definitely a perfect parade costume, being on a bike and all. I thought I still had my old E.T. doll from childhood and we would recreate the costume, but on a tricycle. Well, turns out old E.T. isn’t around after all. Still determined, I had to make him out of a stuffed dog toy, some pantyhose, doll eyes and my lack of artistic skills with a Sharpie. Under the towel I added a little flashlight using the red light feature.

    I hope that my E.T. creation isn’t too kindred to the Spanish lady’s Ecco Homo “restoration.”

    Day 6 2012 {The Witch and Her Little Dog Too}

    The witch is my favorite out of the classic Halloween characters. Growing up it’s all I ever wanted to be. Stella got into this one as well, so again I was left with the difficulty of choosing a favorite. She’s doing her witch cackle in several of the photos below. There’s one where she’s got her hands up and saying “I’ll get you!” And I had to include the one where she’s fixing Twiggy and trying to get her to sit still.

    This was just a little store bought costume I got for a couple bucks after Halloween last year. We added an old cape we had to Stella’s and used the costume’s cape for Twiggy.
